Third BoatBid boat auction starts on 20th April
The Easter holidays are now over and many boats have returned to their moorings. Some will have just been launched and their owners may well have spent the holidays putting the final touches to the winter works before she went back in. Others will have been lucky enough to get a few days away over the holidays; many harbours were surprised by the number of visiting boats over Easter here on the South Coast of England where the weather was much more conducive to boating than it has been for the last few Easters.
But there were also people who spent part of their Easter break looking for a used boat to buy. If you are one of those people and didn’t find your dream boat then the Pre Summer BoatBid auction may be able to help. There’s no need to go traipsing round boatyards and marinas, as our qualified Boatshed broker has done this for you. For each boat in the catalogue we have a detailed description and inventory and up to 70 pictures of each boat so that you can get a really good idea of the boat and her condition, if you need to know more you can call the broker who has been onboard the boat and spoken with her owner.
We have used boats in all shapes and sizes in the auction. There is a Quarter Tonner, a class of sailing yacht which is undergoing something of a revival lately and providing some very close and competitive racing but as the rules of these yachts specified the need for some creature comforts for longer races they also make fantastic fast economical cruising boats for two. If you like small power boats then we have several to chose from, a Raider 18 Fisherman for the anglers or a Sea Fox 197 for those who prefer flat out speed for instance.
But we also have larger boats, from a Mirage 28, a still popular cruising boat, friends spent 5 years cruising theirs all round the Med; and a good clean example of a Princess 415, another fantastic cruising boat for those who prefer power over sail, this one brings back memories of cruising round France with my family for me.
But your dream boat might be something completely different so take a look at the catalogue, perhaps it will be the Formula 40 sailing catamaran or the Sunseeker Mohawk 29 which will catch your eye but which ever boat it is you fancy you know that these boats all have owners who are keen to sell and reserve prices set to match.
You can also bid in confidence as you know that you’ll be able to have a full inspection and professional survey after the auction to make sure there are no hidden problems with your dream boat and you’ll be able to use our qualified Boatshed brokers help and expertise to guide you through the purchase, they’ll even be able to help you find companies to transport your new boat home.
