Her layout is extremely spacious and accommodating with the popular centreline berth forward with private head en suite. Her very large salon is light and bright with many hatches and portholes throughout the cabin. She has two additional staterooms aft with an additional shared full head.

Her inline galley starboard is open to the salon so the chef is never alone whilst toiling over dinner. The galley features a LPG gimballed SS three burner stove/oven, Double SS sinks with pressurized hot & cold water, molded counter tops, custom teak upgrades: spice rack, paper towel holder & knife rack, large refrigerator with top & side access, and a brand new built-in microwave.

The navigation area is located conveniently at the base of the companionway on the port side, just aft of the salon table. All running rigging leads aft to the cockpit which is spacious. This model Catalina has earned a stellar international reputation as a leader in her class for cruising performance, design and comfort.

The Catalina 42 MK I was introduced in 1988 and evolved until 1995 when it was replaced by this model, the MK II. The hull was adapted from an earlier racing hull designed by Nelson Marik. It was modified with a new cabin top, interior and rig to make it a comfortable coastal cruiser that can be easily handled by two crew.
